You were home, with nothing to do but stare at the ceiling. It was snowing badly and wanted nothing to do with that. You spread yourself out on the couch with no intentions of getting up. Although, when you looked out the window, you thought of how beautiful and calm it all looked.
After an hour of being sprawled out on the couch, you heard a knock on the door. You hesitated on opening the door before you heard a voice on the other side of the door say "you will let me in because I know you're home and you will regret it next time you see me, da?"
You rush to the door, knowing it was your favourite Russian. As you open the door, you see Ivan, with a usual childlike smile.
"Hello ______, I thought it would be a nice day to go outside, da?" he said, still smiling.
"But it's snowing, wouldn't it be nice to stay in and drink hot chocolate in a bundle of blankets?" you said, stepping aside to let him in, but he didn't.
"I'd much rather be out here with you," he said, blushing a bit.
"But it's snowing and really cold," you said, trying to convince him to come in.
"I can keep you warm, da?" he said, still keeping that cute little smile.
"Fine, let me go put on a coat," you said, finally giving in.
You went to your closet, got out your coat and walked into the living room to find Ivan just waiting by the door. He seemed to like the outside air.
"So why exactly did you come over?" you asked, curiously.
"I was just thinking about you and saw that it was snowing and thought about how fun it would be to go outside with my sunflower," he said, hiding his blush in his scarf.
You also blushed at his nickname for you. He really was adorable, not scary at all to you, especially the way he acted around you. Almost as if he had to impress you. You never thought he actually had feelings for you, but you definitely had feelings for him.
As you walk to the door, putting your coat on, you tripped on something near the door and landed right in Ivan's arms, both of you blushing even more at the closeness. He had such strong arms and was holding you to his chest.
"Thanks, uh, we should get going. So did you want to just sit out in the snow or?" you asked, trying to distract from your now red face.
You tried to pull away from him, but he held on you tight.
"I said I'd keep you warm, da?"
You didn't know what to say. He was so warm and comforting, you didn't want to pull away.
"Anyways, we should get going _____. I was thinking we could build a snowman," he said, releasing you from his arms.
After 15 minutes of being outside and getting started on your snowman, you decided it would be fun to see who could build a better snowman. You wanted to build yours like a huge, armoured titan, but just settled on a regular snowman.
You look over to Ivan to see what he had so far and it was a bear shaped in snow with a bottle of vodka in the hand. Then you looked over at yours to find a ball of snow that reached to your knees. Ivan spends too much time in the snow.
After you finished your snowbear, you turn around to see if ______ was done and noticed she was struggling to put her snowman together. You kinda thought it was adorable, but didn't want her to feel bad so you had an idea.
After another 15 minutes, you finished your snowman. You turn around to see if Ivan finished.
"Ok well I'm do-" you cut yourself off after you noticed that it hadn't looked the same. It just looked like a pile of snow with a carrot on it.
"And so am I. But yours looks much better, so you win," he said, smiling that adorable smile of his, while walking towards.
"But you had this huge, awesome bear that-" you were cut again with a hug. You decided to just hug him back.
"Let's go inside, you seem cold, sunflower," he said, picking you up bridal style back to your house.
As you two got home, he set you on the couch and went to the kitchen. He came back with one cup of hot chocolate and one cup of vodka, obviously for him. He sat next you as you leaned on his shoulder a bit, taking the cup in your hands.
"Thank you," you said, staring at the cup.
At that moment, you felt like spilling your feelings about him. It was just a now or never moment. You loved him and wanted him to know it.
"So can I tell you something?" you asked, trying to build up your confidence.
"Sure, but can I tell you something first, sunflower?" he asked so sweetly.
"Okay," you said, feeling extremely nervous at this point.
"I don't have many friends. A lot of people find me scary, but you seem not to. I can only wonder how, but I love you very much for it, _____. You're my sunflower," he said, looking at his cup.
"I love you too, actually. That's kinda what I wanted to say, but I'd be happy to embrace that loneliness with you," you said, smiling at him.
You wrapped your arms around his torso and sat on his lap, enjoying each other's company in silence. He leaned in and kissed you on the tip of your nose.
"You shall be mine forever, da?"
